About this Toolkit

This toolkit utilizes a community-based participatory approach1,2 for working in partnership with community collectives. This framework3 incorporates five aspects: a) identifying leaders, b) building the collective, c) identifying partnerships, d) researching with the collective, and e) taking action. This framework is not a linear process. Rather, this is an iterative process involving an on-going reflexive process to meet the needs of the community. This toolkit describes the reflexivity needed to build this collective, Advocacy for Success.
